March Swimmers of the Month

Super Novice Swimmer of the Month: Rykar Graham

Rykar has consistently worked to improve every practice and that hard work and work ethic paid off big time during our Swim-a-Thon. Rykar swam a whopping 53 lengths, which was well above his goal and he ended up being one of our top Super Novice swimmers for that event. Rykar is also a fantastic teammate and his enthusiam, work ethic and team spirit make our team better. Great job Rykar!

Junior Swimmer of the Month: Gavin Reedman

It was no surprise to any of our Junior swimmers to have Gavin named as Swimmer of the Month for March. Gavin has ben training incredibly hard, pushing himself and his teammates, in order to reach the lofty goals he had set for the Swim-a-Thon. Watching him approach his swim with such determination and focus was inspiring for many of our Juniors, who followed suit to race the first 1500m as quickly as they could. In his pursuit of a vacant record in the 1500m Freestyle (which is now his), Gavin shocked us all by smashing a 25-year-old record in the 800m Freestyle! This is an incredible accomplishment and we were so happy to see the hard work he had put into his training pay off in such a big way. Great work Gavin, and congratulations!

Senior Swimmer of the Month: Aliya Grant

One of Aliya's biggest assets as a swimmer is her willingness to make changes in the pool. She has always been very receptive to feedback, and in the last few months we have seen her focus even more on those adjustments and really hone in on each piece of advice she has received from her coaches. Her growth mindset is something that is not easy to maintain, but the gracefulness with which Aliya is able to do it is inspiring. We love seeing her train hard not just physically, but mentally, in order to get the most out of every practice. Really great work Aliya, keep it up!
